Jalapeno Popper Sandwich!
Here’s what you need…
2oz cream cheese
1 tbsp sour cream
jalapeno pepper slices
2 ciabatta bread rolls (you can substitute this for sourdough bread)
butter
tortilla chips
1/2 cup colby montery jack shredded cheese
Ok, so first your going to want to prep your ingrediants. If you are usuing ciabatta rolls, cut them in half horizontally. Then cut of the rounded tops so that it makes a flat peace of bread, like the bottom half.
Chop up about 10 of the jalapeno slices and set aside. Then crush up about 8 tortilla chips and set aside.
Now combine your jalapeno’s with the cream cheese, sour cream and shredded cheese. Mix all of that together and set aside.
Next, just like you would when making a grilled cheese sandwich, pre heat a non stick skillet on medium high heat. Then butter the outside of the bottom peice of bread and place on skillet. Add half your mixure and top with crumbled chips. Butter the outside of the top peice of bread and put it on top of the mixture. Grill for about 3-5 min. until golden brown and flip the sandwich over and do the same for the other side. Then repeat with next sandwich and youre all done!
