Goodbye old friend
After almost 4 years of having this Tumblr…I am leaving it and starting a new one. I want to start this new chapter without any ties to bad memories or dark times in my life. I will always be a “blogger”, but just like any good story, I am beginning a new chapter.

I know I'm lucky but...
Do you ever look back on a certain point in your life…and remember how F-ed up everything SEEMED, but now looking back you know it wasnt as bad as you thought it was…and you are kinda jealous of the younger more less jaded person you once were? Run on sentence aside, I feel that way sometimes.
I am so blessed and so fortunate to be at this point in my life…but sometimes I think...

My curfew was lightning bugs. My parents didn’t call my cell, they yelled my name. I played outside with friends, not online. If I didn’t eat what momma cooked, then I didn’t eat. Sanitizer didn’t exist, but you COULD get your mouth washed out with soap. I rode a bike with no helmet. Getting dirty was ok, and neighbors cared as much as your parents...

Italian alfredo linguini with asparagus in...
Ok, this one was a total make shift of ingrediants that I already had, but wanted to make a nice dinner out of. My finace was so impressed, he said this was the best thing I’ve ever cooked! Bake a few garlic cabatta bread rolls to go with it (the frozen kind, because who has time to actually bake!) and this meal is amazing. I’m sorry, I forgot to take a picture of this one!
